I wash out and re-use ziploc freezer bags. It's not like they get worn out in the freezer and their expensive. But used foil gets thrown out. Most of my used foil isn't salvagable.
my mom just wrapped her in plastic wrap, but I'm sure just a freezer bag will do fi ne :) Martha stewart says not to directly wrap anything in Tinfoil cause the alluminum might get into the food and give you altemiers LOL
that is what i saw when i used to watch the show. She would wrap it in parchment then tinfoil. It was kinda odd, so i just use freezer bags that work better anyways, IMO :) Carrie
it's pretty much ok to freeze most baked goods. and an excellent way to prepare ahead of time for a big occasion. as long as whatever you are freezing is fully cooled when you wrap them up and freeze them, it should defrost and be fine. cakes, cookies, muffins, bread...do it up.
No, I'm sorry, they are very very very wrong. you CANNOT freeze bananna bread. It gets mushy, turns green, puts off a terrible odor that you will never be able to get out of your freezer.
And it's just as bad if you put it in the fridge.
The ONLY thing you CAN do is this: Wrap it tightly with seran wrap, then paper, put it in a box, and contact me for my address. I promise to dispose of it propperly for you.
Don't thank me, we all do what we can for our fellow human beings. I'm sure you'd do the same for me if the possition was reversed.

martha said what?
is that even posssible? i mean, probably if you ate the foil, but if it is removed, is it possible that the aluminum seeped into the food?August 5 2005, 20:25:51 UTC 6 years ago
